About the owners

Phil Barnett

Moveworx is owned by Phil Barnett and Andrew Dowd. Phil started in the moving industry in the early 1990s with National company Kent Moving & Storage and brings close to 20 years of experience to the business. Phil has been invloved with Ku-Ring-Gai Removals, one of the brands brought together to create Moveworx, since 1997.

Moveworx delivers quality service at realistic prices, because the owners recognise that people wanting to move are simply trying to solve a problem - getting their household goods from their current home to their next (or into storage) as safely as possible with a minimum of fuss at the lowest cost.

When asked what makes Moveworx different from its peers, Phil and Andrew both believe the answer lies simply with happy customers. Phil says: "We start with the aim to have happy customers who want to tell their friends about how good their moving experience with us was. I find that this goal defines all our strategies, actions and efforts from the initial phone contact with us to the guys out there doing the work – you naturally provide great service when you want your customers to say nice things about you."

Andrew adds "In our industry, you're only as good as your last few jobs and everyone at Moveworx understands this. We really feel like we've achieved something when someone calls us wanting to move and they mention that a friend recommended us. When this happens, it's hard evidence that we're doing things right. "

Phil has lived in both the Hills District and the North Shore, currently resides in Baulkham Hills, is married with 3 sons and a daughter. Andrew also live in Baulkham Hills, is married with a son and a daughter.
